Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is the official title for Knives Out 2, according to the announcement. About a year after fans hoped it would, the eagerly awaited sequel’s filming finally began.
The title was announced in a Tweet by Rian Johnson, who is also producing the sequel with Ram Bergman. Johnson is a writer and a filmmaker. In a series of tweets prior to the announcement, Johnson praises the writings of author Agatha Christie and expresses his hope that the sequel will “emulate Christie and have every film feel like a complete new book.”
According to a press release, Daniel Craig will return to the role of eccentric private eye Benoit Blanc in the upcoming movie Glass Onion. According to reports, Blanc will visit Greece in an effort to solve a brand-new mystery. While in Greece, Blanc will also get to know an entirely new cast. Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Dave Bautista, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson, Jessica Henwick, and Madelyn Cline are a few of the new cast members.
The Netflix original series Glass Onion will make its debut during the upcoming winter holidays. Due to Netflix’s $450 million contract to buy two sequels to Knives Out, Blanc and his instantly recognizable accent are expected to return for a third movie. However, the Knives Out series is not over yet.
The sequel was revealed in the year 2020, not long after the first installment’s release in 2019 and subsequent commercial success. We gave the first Knives Out an 8.5 because of its comedic value and “excellent storyline,” and we rated it as such.
